HVBM Vastgoed leases DC Charlotte Tilburg to Smartwares Group
HVBM Vastgoed and Smartwares Group recently signed a long-term lease for a new distribution center to be built at the Kraaiven business park in Tilburg.
This 'built to suit' development by HVBM Vastgoed for Smartwares Group consists of more than 45,000 m² of logistics office and business space and is being realized on the former Charlotteoord site in Tilburg. HVBM Vastgoed and Smartwares Group strive for a building that meets the BREEAM standard 'Excellent'.
Smartwares Group was founded in 1977 in Tilburg (then Tristar Europe) and has since grown into one of the market leaders in Europe in (smart) home appliances, safety and lighting, with various offices in Europe and Asia. Well-known brands of Smartwares Group include Princess, Tristar, Smartwares, Byron and Campart. Smartwares Group's products are sold in more than 80 countries, both offline and online. In addition to the aforementioned own brands, Smartwares Group also supplies numerous private label brands to Europe's largest e- and re-tailers.

The construction of DC Charlotte has recently started so that the building will be delivered by HVBM Vastgoed to Smartwares Group in mid-July 2022.
