HVBM Vastgoed develops a large sustainable DC for Ingram Micro in Tilburg
Ingram Micro CLS Benelux B.V. has signed a long-term lease agreement with HVBM Vastgoed B.V. for a new development on business park Kraaiven in Tilburg. In this modern sustainable distribution center Ingram Micro will take care of the logistics operation for the Bijenkorf. From the distribution center the department stores are supplied and the e-commerce activities are handled.
The lease concerns 31,246 m² warehouse, 6,546 m² mezzanine and 3,233 m² office.
The sustainable and gasless building is custom developed and realized according the highest standard in logistics real estate. HVBM and Ingram Micro aim for a building that meets the BREEAM standard Outstanding.
The object will be taken into use by Ingram Micro mid-2019.
Ingram Micro CLS (Commerce & Lifecycle Services) provides the logistics for the largest web shops in the Netherlands, including the Bijenkorf. The partnership with HVBM Vastgoed was required through the extension of the partnership between Ingram Micro and the Bijenkorf. With the construction of the new distribution center, a future-proof logistics operation will be realized. Ingram Micro ensures that the Bijenkorf can deliver the promises to her customers.
Ingram Micro has now started recruiting new employees.
De Bijenkorf has department stores in 7 cities: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag, Utrecht, Amstelveen, Eindhoven and Maastricht. She also has webshops for the Netherlands and Belgium. By keeping a central stock in one distribution centre, De Bijenkorf realizes a faster service for her customers. De Bijenkorf attaches great importance to sustainable entrepreneurship. This new building with BREEAM certification fits this.
